Shari McDaid

Shari joined the Mental Health Foundation in 2019 and leads the policy and public affairs function in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Shari was CEO of the National Coalition on Mental Health in the Republic of Ireland, Mental Health Reform, for six years. She previously worked in public policy roles in the Republic of Ireland including at Amnesty International Ireland, the National Disability Authority and Shine.

Shari holds a Masters in Social Science from the Open University and a doctorate in Equality Studies from University College Dublin. In her free time Shari likes to play the flute, the piano and sing.
