When you register your interest in becoming a case study

  • With your consent we process your contact details and keep in touch with you. We retain your details for two years after our last contact with you.

When you register to sign up to arrange an event

  • We will process your contact details to keep in touch with you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest. We retain your details for two years after our last contact with you.

When you provide us with a Case Study

  • We will process your contact details and your case study with your consent.  We will share your Case Study with specified third parties with your consent.  We will delete your case study and contact details two years after our last contact with you.

  • We transfer you contact and donation details to a third party who acknowledges your gift

Donations made by SMS message

Donations made by giving platforms e.g. Just Giving, Much Loved

  • Giving platforms provides us with your contact details, donation amount and webpage URL.
  • We retain your contact details and donor history for six years following your last donation

  • We transfer your contact details and donations to HMRC for Gift Aid purposes which is a legal obligation

Donations by street fundraising

  • When you support us through a street collection undertaken by our agents you provide them with your contact details, bank details and donation amount.
  • We process your contact details and donation amount. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest.
  • We retain your contact details and donor history for six years following your last donation
  • We send your name, address and bank details to our payment processor
  • We transfer your contact details and donations to HMRC for Gift Aid purposes which is a legal obligation

Donations in response to a Telephone Campaign

  • When you make a donation we record your donation alongside your contact details. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest.
  • If you set up a Direct Debit we will share your name, address and bank details with our payment processor
  • We retain your contact details and donor history for six years following your last donation
  • We transfer your contact details and donations to HMRC for Gift Aid purposes which is a legal obligation
  • With your consent we share your telephone number with our fund raising partner
  • With your consent we will keep you informed about MHF using your preferred method (email, SMS or phone)

Donations in response to a postal campaign

  • When you make a postal donation we record your donation alongside your contact details
  • If you set up a Direct Debit we will share your bank details with our payment processor
  • We retain your contact details and donor history for six years following your last donation
  • Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest and our purpose is Fundraising and Donor Administration
  • We transfer your contact details and donations to HMRC for Gift Aid purposes which is a legal obligation
