This summary document looks at key findings from the third wave of the Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Adolescent’s Mental Health in Great Britain study.

The survey went to young people aged 13–19 years old across Great Britain. YouGov administered the survey online between 25th February - 11th March 2021. The survey figures have been weighted and are representative of all GB teenagers in this age range.

The Mental Health Foundation and Swansea University led a repeated cross-sectional study of how the COVID-19 pandemic affected adolescents' mental health (people aged 13 to 19) across Great Britain.

Coronavirus: Mental Health in the Pandemic Study

Between 2020-2022, working with the University of Cambridge, De Montfort University, Swansea University, the University of Strathclyde and Queen’s University Belfast, the Mental Health Foundation led a ground-breaking, long-term, UK-wide research study of how the pandemic affected people’s mental health.
