About Wear it Green Day

The green ribbon is the international symbol of mental health awareness, so whether you go all out in head to toe green or show your solidarity with one of our green ribbon pin badges, this is a great way to get involved and start a conversation about mental health. We have loads of fundraising resources and activity ideas in this pack and on our website to make your day as successful as possible!

Wear it Green Day is our flagship fundraiser for Mental Health Awareness Week and will be taking place on Thursday 15 May 2025, but you can hold one at any time of year if there’s a more suitable date for you.

Together, we can help everyone have better mental health

Your support through Wear it Green Day will help us continue running vital programmes like UOK?

75% of mental health problems begin before the age of 24. The transition from further education into higher education or work can be a time of uncertainty, isolation, and pressure — often having a serious impact on student well-being.

UOK? Is a life-changing program offering vital support to 16-24-year-olds during this challenging time.

We work with colleges and universities across England, empowering students to take their well-being into their own hands. By equipping students with the knowledge and confidence to support their peers with their mental health, the impact can reach the whole student community. We work to make a world where there is good mental health for all – but we can’t do it without you.
