Public engagement

Our public engagement work is focused on offering the public evidence-based, free information to help them look after their own and their loved one's mental health.

We are the home of Mental Health Awareness Week, which takes place every May and marks other events like World Mental Health Day in October. Throughout the year, we run awareness campaigns targeting some of the people most at risk of mental ill-health.

You can find out more about some of our public engagement work below.

World Mental Health Day

Every year we celebrate World Mental Health Day on 10 October. The theme for 2024, set by the World Foundation of Mental Health, is ‘it's time to prioritise mental health in the workplace’.

Suicide prevention

There are things we can all do in situations where we are worried about someone who we think may be at risk of suicide. Talking about suicide can really make a difference.
