Dr Eva Cyhlarova, Head of Research
As Head of Research, Eva is responsible for managing our research team and Mental Health Research Programmes.
Part of her role involves developing and managing research projects and overseeing research processes and ethical governance. She contributes to the production of proposals, research reports, and peer-reviewed publications. Eva also furthers our reputation for using the research we conduct to improve frontline services, influence policy and raise awareness of mental health issues in the media.
Following a D.Phil. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford, Eva worked as a Senior Research Scientist at the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics in Oxford. She pursued research in several scientific fields related to mental health, managing a number of large-scale projects. Eva is a highly experienced and well-qualified research scientist, who also worked in high-level programme management within the private sector.
Eva also holds a Master’s Degree in Psychosocial Sciences and a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Religion. Furthermore, Eva has published a number of research reports in the field of mental health, most recently co-authoring the report “Economic burden of mental illness cannot be tackled without research investment”.
